Employment has a vital bearing on the people's livelihood. China has started to run short of rural workers since 2004. It is necessary to figure out what factors are giving influence to the employment transfer of rural labor force and take effective measures to resolve this issue so that the sustainable development of economy can be guaranteed. This study researches on the current situation of rural labor force's employment shift within Ya'an and the factor's affect this process, based on this sampling interview questionnaire survey made in Ya'an.This paper is started with introduction of background significance selecting this topic, the goal of this study, the summarization of study in this field from home and abroad, the current development of study on this field and the research method of this paper, At the 2nd of this paper, it briefly states the minds, types and models of labor force migration, which make a foundation for the whole paper. The 3rd part of the paper analyzes the present situation of Ya'an's labor force migration and its problems. And the case of Ya'an is compared with that of other regions. Then, a mode is constructed to process the data collected so that the factors influence the rural labor force migration of Ya'an can be analyzed one by one. And a conclusion is drawn. According to the analysis, advice for improvement is given.This paper analyzes the economic growth, industrial structure change and individual factors'impacts on Ya'an's rural labor force migration, based on measurement analysis. And the analysis shows the differences of rural force migration over rural production elements market, families, personalities of individuals, development of regional economy, income level, time spending on farm work and the purpose of working outside of Ya'an. The regression analysis shows that rural labor force migration is positively influenced by opportunities of employment, and the role of a laborer plays in his or her family, education background, the earning of working out of Ya'an, non-agricultural purpose of employment and their confidence of working outside. On the other hand, farm work and age have negative influence over choosing a workplace. Gender and the scale of a family does have some impacts on rural labor force migration and other places employment but not so remarkable. The factors effect Ya'an's labor force migration are as below according to elastic coefficient ranking:The rural human capital stock, turn of ground factors coefficient, the into of ground factors coefficient and the institutional factors (intermediate hindering factors). A conclusion is conducted according to the analysis made beforehand:①The development of rural production elements market is helpful for employment transfer of rural labor force.②Laborers with better education background are apt to work in different places.③upturning local economy development could cut the number of rural laborers who transfer to other places is an objective economic law.④etter earning is the best incentive stimulates the migration of labor force. And this indicates that better expectation of city life is of great meaning for labor forces that transfer to work in the city. This paper makes a policy recommendation for the problem in Ya'an's migration of rural labor force, that is, to deepen rural reforms; to strengthen the foundational role of agriculture; to boost the urbanization process of Ya'an; to strive to turn rural labor force into rural human resource; to develop and improve the employment support system for rural labor with one hundred percent passion. The non-agricultural employment of rural Yan'an need's the participation of the whole social community, especially the joint efforts made by the local government and the education system.
