Study On The Effectiveness Evaluation Of Economic Relationship Between Ports And Hinterland Region Of Shandong Province

With the acceleration of global economic integration process, port plays an increasingly important role in economic development. Port not only stimulates local economic development, but also plays a strategic role in fostering the growth of hinterland economic. In turn, hinterland economic development can provide more services and development environment, and can enhance the competitiveness of the port. The economic relationship effectiveness between port and hinterland is that one party promotes economic development of the other party in interactive development process. The economic relationship evaluation between them is evaluating whether the mutual economic benefits between port and its hinterland is effective, find the existing problems in the development of port and hinterland through economic relationship effectiveness evaluation between port and hinterland, and analyze the causes of problems and put forward the solution measures to achieve both economic interaction development.Shandong province is the important component of the bohai economic circle, and Shandong coastal port group is the important part of the harbor group in China. Studying economic relationship effectiveness between the port and hinterland can provide reference for studying the development of other ports and hinterlands. Meanwhile, in the background of Shandong peninsula blue economic zone, its port and hinterland has its own characteristics, but the development mode between port and hinterland doesn't separate from port-hinterland interactive development mode. So, scientific evaluation of the economic relationship effectiveness between port and hinterland has important significance.The thesis divides into five chapters. The first chapter mainly elaborated the background and significance of research, and then summarizes the research achievements about the relationship between port and hinterland and effectiveness evaluation index system structure at home and abroad, and gives the main contents of this paper. The second chapter presents the economic development of Shandong port and hinterland, and analyzes influence between the port and hinterland. The third chapter firstly introduces the evaluation methods of economic relationship between port and hinterland, chooses DEA evaluation method according to the study angle, and then briefly introduces DEA evaluation model, using DEA evaluation of vertical and horizontal evaluation way, determines the decision unit, constructs ports-hinterland economic relationship effectiveness evaluation index system, and finally constructs ports-hinterland economic relationship effectiveness evaluation model from port, the port city and the economic relationship between port and hinterland three points. The fourth chapter is empirical analysis. Firstly analyzes the relevant data of port and hinterland in Shandong from 2001 to 2010, and then bring them into port-hinterland economic relationship effectiveness evaluation model, analyzes from two aspects of horizontal and vertical respectively, and combining the development present situation of Shandong port and hinterland, analyzes the economic relationship effective or invalid reasons between Shandong port and hinterland. In the fifth chapter, based on empirical analysis, according to the economic relationship effectiveness evaluation result between port and hinterland, combining with the economic development characteristics of port and hinterland in Shandong, gives the economic development measures and suggestions of port and hinterland in Shandong. The sixth chapter briefly summarizes the research conclusion, and points out the limitations of the study and the future research direction.
