Jilin Province Agricultural Domestic Support Policies

As a main agricultural province in China, Jilin province is an important crop producing district and base for commercial crops, which takes up an important strategic position in guaranteeing the national crop safety and has crucial impact on boosting local economy. After entering into the WTO, the agricultural products of Jilin province confront fierce competition of the high-quality and cheap products abroad. The agricultural products are at a disadvantage in international competition, which hinders the development of Jilin agricultural industry, even affects the development of the national agriculture. Through exact analysis about the concerning regulations of the domestic support policies of WTO, the thesis analyzes the executing situation of the domestic support policies on Jilin agriculture objectively, raise the promblman and the reason for agricultrue domestic support of Jilin province,and concludes the domestic support experience of developed countries as well. On the above basis, the thesis studies the adjusting and reform of the domestic support policies of Jilin province. The author thinks that the government of Jilin province should intensify efforts to the national supporting policies, optimize the supporting manner, adjust the supporting structure and establish effective supervising system, in order to realize the healthy and orderly development of Jilin agriculture under the new international environment.
