The 21st century is the age of knowledge economy; knowledge task becomes the basic form of modern labor and the key subject of value creation with its increasing proportion in new economy age. During the process of doing knowledge task, human can not work without interacting with the interface at any time. With the development of digitalization, reorganization interface which interacts with human and its corresponding operation interface are becoming increasingly complex; interface can not only convey simply information, instruction conveyed by the traditional human machine interface, but more knowledge. Describing the interaction knowledge task process in order to improve the efficiency of the knowledge task becomes the greater request in the digital environment.This paper firstly describes the concept of knowledge interface and its character. Knowledge interface is the deep summarization of human-machine interface based on the connotation of human-machine interaction in the digital environment. Knowledge interface is semantic network expressed by the interface physical symbol. The process of human finishing knowledge task with operation interface is actually the problem solving process in the semantic network of knowledge interface. In the system of knowledge interface, display interface and operation interface are combined into one; knowledge interface node conveys not only displayed information, but also the operating object of operator finishing tasks. The more important thing is that, the knowledge conveyed by knowledge interface is semantically more informative and complex, which the traditional human-machine interface can not compete with quantitatively and substantially.Secondly, based on the analysis of knowledge task and mental model, this paper describes the process of knowledge interface interaction tasks and proposes four phases theoretical model. The process of operator and knowledge interface interactively finishing knowledge task is the process of the operator's construction of the task-mental model and the knowledge interface mental model, as well as the continuous matching interaction of the two models, during which, task-mental model is continuously revised and improved, finally the complete task operation chain is formed, and the operation of task is realized successfully.Thirdly, this paper focuses on the two factors which affect knowledge interface mental model, that is, whether interface exists task-related knowledge interface node and the understanding of operator on the knowledge interface node, proposes the incident activation principle from the angle of standard knowledge interface's construction. It applies that the interface includes the trigger souce about the tasks and the trigger source about the function in the knowledge interface designing. And it made some requirements clearly about the visibility, flexibility, orderliness, consistency and feedback of the knowledge interface node.Finally, the paper based on incident activation principle, and compared with the operation efficiency of the standard interface and the prototype interface by the cognitive experiment and the simulation of the short message function of the mobile phone. The following results are verified:the incident activation principle is effective on the knowledge interface designing.
