Study On The Upgrading Path Of Sports Tourism Innovative Development In Guilin

As a tourism style which unifies body building, entertainment and leisure holiday, Sports Tourism has been interested in by more and more people. And it has been regarded as a vital method to stimulate tourism economy by many sightseeing places abroad and at home. As a distinguished tourism city, Guilin has affluent tourism resources, and a series of tourism projects developed in the late years has got great economic benefits. Against the background of building the state's touristic comprehensive reform experiment area, it is urgent to further consolidate tourism as the backbone industry of economy development in Guilin. Being an essential component of tourism, it would be better if the Sports Tourism can make more economic contributions, which shall be fulfilled by the optimization and upgrading of itself based on the current conditions.The thesis studies the upgrading of Guilin's sports tourism industry based on the fulfillment of economic development. Using methods of documentation, investigation, questionnaire and expert interview, this thesis made a deep analysis on the situation of development of sports tourism in Guilin, based on the guidance of industry value chain theory, systematic theory, growth pole theory and comparative advantage theory. In the course of the upgrading of sports tourism industry, industry value chain theory and systematic theory help to get the overall development situation of the industry and clearly define the advantages and disadvantages in the whole industry. Growth pole theory and comparative advantage theory help to point out the necessity and significance of developing high-end sports tourism products in the process of upgrading the industry. Coupling theory and synergetic theory help to give guidance to the cooperativeness during development and boost clustering development. Using methods of questionnaire and value chain analysis, this thesis also made an analysis on the coupling degree and synergetic degree of development level of sports tourism industry chain and economic contribution level. So, Guilin's tourism development should intensify sports tourism as people are prone to participate tourism activities with strong participation, high experience and healthy motives.According to the detailed analysis of development situation of the industry value chain in Guilin's sports tourism industry, its upgrading should focus on the product supply, value process, multiply of products benefits, chain exchange of sports tourism industry chain. Firstly, deep develop the high-end products of sports tourism and ethnic spots cultural tourism; secondly, cooperative with synergetic regions, encourage investment, management and embedment of synergetic programs in the global industry chain; thirdly, develop brand operation of sports tourism and commerce operations; fourthly, integrate or expand the industry chain to built industry clustering and model new sports tourism industry chain.
