Research On Characteristics And Advantages Of Agro-industrial Competitiveness In Xinjiang

Implementation of the Xinjiang advantageous resources transformation strategy to speed up the development of characteristics and advantages of agro-industrial is the needs to speed up the new countryside construction in Xinjiang and to achieve a comprehensive well-off society in rural areas of Xinjiang, but also is the development priorities of in the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and "Twelve Five "Xinjiang's economic and social Development environment, strategy, positioning and target research" in Xinjiang. Based on scientific concept of development to make full use of regional advantages and product differentiation (or features) to develop characteristics and advantages of agro-industries has become the key of cracking "three rural" problems and accelerating the sustainable and stable economic development.Therefore, correct evaluation of the competitiveness and how to improve the strength of characteristics and advantages of agro-industrial in Xinjiang, has become the inevitable choice to enhance the level of Xinjiang regional competitiveness and to accelerate the sustainable economic development.In this paper, firstly taking 12 industries of agricultural product processing industry in Xinjiang as the basic evaluation unit and using basic methods and statistical software principal component analysis,it chooses the characteristics and advantages of agro-industrial in Xinjiang, and ultimately determes the sugar industry and the tomato processing industry among Agro-food processing and manufacturing industry as the characteristics and advantages of agro-industrial in Xinjiang of this study. Secondly,it describs and analyzs the current situation of the overall development status of food processing industry in Xinjiang, respectively the sugar industry and tomato processing industry. Again, by building characteristics and advantages of agro-industries in Xinjiang competitiveness evaluation index system, and using principal component analysis, it has a comprehensive evaluation and decision about the competitiveness level of the sugar industry and tomato processing industry in Xinjiang. Fourthly, on the basis of the comprehensive evaluation and determination,it has a analysis about the causes and problems of industrial competitiveness.Finally, it brings suggestions and safeguards to enhance the competitiveness of characteristics and advantages of agro-industries in Xinjiang.Based on the analysis, it has reached the following conclusions, first of all, it aultimately determines the characteristics and advantages of Xinjiang for the food processing industry of agricultural products processing and manufacturing among the sugar industry and the tomato processing industry. Second, the competitiveness of sugar industry in Xinjiang despite have the upward trend in the repeated fluctuations year by year, and the internal structure is more balanced, at the same time it has a certain competitive advantage in the ecological and capital competitiveness, but overall,it still exists a large disparity Compared with the sugar industry of Guangxi, such as low productivity levels, inefficient allocation of resources, relatively low market share, low technological level, and Serious environmental pollution, and other problems. Again, the competitiveness of tomato processing industry always keeps stable and rapid growth, but in terms of international competitiveness, there are some problems,such as a shorter value chain, being not conducive to avoid market risks, the lack of international brands, disorder market competition, irrational distribution of enterprises and so on which need to be further improved.
