Flat glass is the important industry products of national economy and society development. It is widely used in traditional construction field, auto motor industry, furniture industry, decoration industry etc. The demands in the new developed filed like the electric information field and Photovoltaic Power field are also enlarged day by day. In recent years, the fast developed flat glass industry leads to the over capacity. As a high pollution and high power consuming industry, the flat glass industry is laying great pressure on the fragile ecology environment and non-recycle resources.This thesis firstly made literature review on the low carbon economy and flat glass industry and concluded the aspects that this thesis involves, research characters, research tread and the cross points of these two aspects. Through the current situation analysis, it is discovered that there are still few research made on the flat glass industry from the aspect of low carbon economy. Therefore, this paper made research on the sustainable development of the flat glass industry from the aspect of low carbon economy.Firstly, this thesis analyzed the development of the flat glass industry in china. The developing history of flat glass industry is introduced from the forming stage, setting up stage and fast developing stage. The developing conditions are analyzed from the aspects of economy level, discharge and recycle usage of resource and energy and production technology. Finally, the distance between our country and developed countries are identified from the aspects of producing level, discharge and recycle.Then, this thesis established evaluation index system and made prediction on the low carbon developing trend of the industry. Firstly, the selection principle is strictly set and the evaluation index system is constructed. Some trend predicting methods are the methods used in this thesis are selected. Finally, the discharge trend and resource and energy usage trend are selected as the prediction target from the low carbon economy aspect. The grey model, one regression model, and constant weight linear combination model are adopted to make prediction. The results from 2010 to 2015 are predicted.Finally, according to the predicted results, the analysis and tack research are made. The"Eleven Five Years Plan"of the flat glass industry target are taken as the basis to evaluate the completion conditions of the clean producing level and target accomplishing results. Then the target of the"Twelve Five Years Plan"is made. And results are based to make analysis on the predicting results to get the energy saving and pollution reduction trend. Through the analysis on the predicting results, this thesis proposed the sustainable development tack and four guaranteeing measures for high entrance conditions, populate the low carbon technique and energy management, adjust the fuel structure, products structure, and workshop structure.
