With the construction of thermal power project in an increasingly competitive, the traditional and extensive management model has been unable to adapt to the new needs of management and the new features of construction. How can complete the project efficiently ensuring safety, quality and cost of the premise becomes every construction project manager's pursuit. Only in this way can enterprises improve their core competitiveness, and promote the sustainable development of enterprise.This paper uses the Longshan Power Plant Project as an example, with P3E / C software,and establishes an efficient management organization and a complete schedule management system. Combining with the actual, following the PDCA cycle principle, constantly collecting construction process records, and constantly updating progress information and management objectives make it accomplish goals throughout controllable circumstances for schedule management of Longshan Power Plant Project. Especially, the progress management system is integrated at all levels of management, and removes the previous low engineering problems of schedule management to avoid the unnecessary costs. This will play a practical significance for future similar construction projects.
