Quality refers to the level of a product or service meeting user's need. Quality control is the management means that was taken to maintain and improve quality. Theoretical research related to quality improvement began from the 20th century, and nowadays, after around 50 years of rapid development, quality management theories have become one of the most important foundations of modern large scale manufacture. Different countries and enterprises bring in progress and breakthroughs for quality management from their daily management, theories such as total quality management, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, IS09000 quality standard get developed. Those theories are commonly applied in today's global enterprise manufactures, creating a lot of industry leaders.This paper reviews a number of current quality improvement methods, combined with the author where the company's internal distribution system (Transmit Management System, TMS) to discuss quality improvement of the system, and apply continuous improvement within the system operation and maintenance group to achieve quality improvement.This paper analyzes a variety of quality management theories, their characteristics, and implementation costs for such occasions. Based on the comparison, it propose continuous improvement as the implementation strategy to achieve the system improvement goals of TMS, it also define the improvement target, implementation steps in detail, and scope the content of quality improvement and principles. It focus on the research of TMS backend data source, typical working process, users inside and outside of TMS system, current situations of the system and the support call history. Based on the analyze and classifying work of support calls, this paper composite a Pareto distributions diagram on all the issues coming from support call system, it determine the target of quality improvement, with the help of fishbone diagram, it provides solutions on those issues, and defines user complains of the system as the quality baseline. Besides, the paper also focuses on finding out a few redundant processes, removing them helped reducing the possibilities of errors. With all those methods above that come from continuous improvement, the complaints and support calls from direct user get a great drop on those issues the improvement target on.With the implementation on TMS system, continuous improvement is proved a good way and strategy to improve a key process, a running system, and it provides a way to improve customer satisfaction.
