Quanzhou Textile And Garment Industry After The Financial Crisis Context To Enhance The Competitiveness Of Research

After more than 20 years of rapid development, the garment industry of Quanzhou has become the biggest one in Quanzhou's economy.Garment industry has made a great contribution on promoting the economic growth, employment, fiscal revenue, export income etc for Quanzhou's economy. Through analysis, we can see that Quanzhou's garment industry plays a very important role in GDP development, employment safeguard and regional economic stability no matter in the whole country or in Fujian province. It should be given supportive policies in its development process. After analyzing Quanzhou garment industry's current situation and competitive capability, we find that under the background of post-financial-crisis era it is crucially important to take appropriate methods for the entire industry's ascension. It has very important meaning for Quanzhou garment industry's trade status and economic status.This paper selects the topic of enhancing the competitiveness of Quanzhou's garment industry under the background of post-financial-crisis era as the proposition. Combining the current development situation of Quanzhou's garment industry and foreign garment industries competitiveness research achievements, I will systematically analyze the existing advantages, disadvantages, opportunity and threaten in Quanzhou's garment industry by using SWOT method. In the last, I will give the corresponding recommendations and suggestions.This article is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction. It mainly introduced the background, research significance, framework and research methods.The second part is the basic review of research of garment industry. Firstly, define the competitiveness and industrial competitiveness. Then review the correlative literature about garment industry competitiveness in home and abroad.The third part is the competitive advantages and disadvantages analysis under the background of post-financial-crisis era in Quanzhou's garment industry.The fourth part is the competitive opportunity and threaten analysis under the background of post-financial-crisis era in Quanzhou's garment industry. This paper argues that Quanzhou's garment industry still lurks many hidden troubles after rapid development. The author has worked as an investigator for many years in Quanzhou's garment industry. And he thinks that Quanzhou garment industry is lack of innovation. The added value of the products is very low. The cost advantage is abating. Low industry level, weak brand awareness, laggard management level and rigid organization structure are also the problems.The fifth part is the suggestions about improving Quanzhou's garment industry competitiveness under the background of post-financial-crisis era.
