Comprehensive Research On Urban Land Use Efficiency And Coordination Degree

As the most important unit for the social development of our country, urban area has been playing an important role in it. And as the main space and material of the urban development, urban land usage largely determines and represents the level of urban operation. In the process of urban land use, economic factors get enough attention. However, it already cannot meet the need of development nowadays. Therefore, in order to promote the efficient and coordinate use of urban land, this paper did comprehensive research on efficiency and coordination degree of urban land use in economy, society and environment.The paper firstly introduces the research background, status, methods and main contents, and then introduces and analysis the related concept and connotation. In Chapter 3, the paper introduces the methods of setting the index system and evaluating efficiency and coordination degree of urban land use. In the empirical part, the paper selects 33 major cities as samples for urban land use efficiency and coordination analysis. Based on the reality and characteristics of the samples, the paper analyzes the result of the empirical study and puts forward policy suggestions at last.The study uses theoretical analysis, data envelopment analyses, principal component analysis, coordinate coefficient method and four quadrant analysis. Urban land use efficiency presents a trend that the efficiency of urban land use reduces from east to west which highly meets the social development level of those cities but doesn't meet the coordination degree trends. And cities of low efficiency are usually of low coordination degree.The paper proposes three policy suggestions at the end. First, improve urban planning level. Second, keep the independence of land management agencies, and introduce central, public double supervision mechanism. Third, control local government investment and improve government management level.
