Study On Development Strategy Of Auto Industry In Zhengzhou City

Chinese auto industry has made significant progress ever since the launch of the opening up and reform policy 30 years ago. In 2009, the China topped the world in terms of the auto output and sales volume, exceeding 130 million respectively, even over 180 million in 2010. As one of the pillar industries of China, the auto industry has been attached great importance by the State Council and its affiliate departments. For the purpose of facilitating the healthy and orderly development of auto industry, a number of policies have been launched, such as the Rejuvenating Planning for Auto Industry, Car Subsidy Program for Rural Areas and Reduction of Purchase Tax; Meanwhile, the local governments also formulate preferential policy for auto-related trade and investment promotion and taxation.Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, is well-located and easy to access. The auto industry in Zhengzhou is a very important part of Henan's autoindustry. In recent years, Zhengzhou, guided by the general strategy for Henan's auto industry, maintained the advantages of Zhengzhou Yutong, Shaolin Bus and Hongyu Special Vehicle in special vehicle industry. In addition, it expanded the product mix of Zhengzhou Nissan and initiated the cooperative project with Haima on mini-vehicle. The auto industry of Zhengzhou has assumed great potential for development.This article, based on survey and investigation, conducts in-depth research on the development of Chinese and international auto industry and that of Henan's auto industry. Moreover, it also conducts SWOT analysis on the internal and external environment of Zhengzhou's auto industry, illustrated by the status quo of industrialization in China, and provides suggestions to Zhengzhou City on the development targets, key points of product development and development strategy of its auto industry. Zhengzhou City is expected to be an important part of Chinese auto industry by taking the opportunity of the rapid development of Chinese auto industry and through relevant effective strategy and insurance system.
