The construction industry as a pillar industry of the national economy is one of the important material production departments. It has a close connection with the development of the whole state economy and the improvement of people's lives. Construction hoisting machinery occupies a pivotal position in the construction industry, which saves a considerable amount of time for workers. They are powerful tools to improve labor productivity in the construction industry. With the increasing number of modern high-rise buildings, it also accelerates development and application of the construction hoisting machinery. How to enable the construction hoisting machinery to enjoy essential safety and sound controllability and become an indispensable main force in the construction of high-rise buildings, it's one of the keys for quality control in the construction industry. If we can not improve the safety level of construction hoisting machinery, it will not only endanger people's safety and health, but also constrain the development of the construction industry and, in case of any accident caused by the construction hoisting machinery, there will be comparatively severe casualties. So it not only requires the designer to work out high-safety machine, but also requires the construction firm, client, testing authority, surveillance organization and government supervising departments to execute more quality control over the construction hoisting machinery so as to improve the safety of the construction hoisting machinery to the acceptable top level. It bears important social significance and application value for preventing fatalities.Firstly, this article represents the history and application of quality control in our country briefly. Proceeding from the legal system of quality control for construction hoisting machinery, we take an initiative research over the present situation of the quality safety control for construction hoisting machinery in our country. Secondly, by combining my practical experience and the samples I have collected through years of inspection on the quality of construction hoisting machinery, I present an elaborate analysis on the controlling elements that may influence the quality safety of construction hoisting machinery, and then give a further introduction and description about the application of six sigma quality management approach in the quality safety control of construction hoisting machinery. It also suggests that the testing authority for the construction hoisting machinery in our country learn from the experience of management and technology abroad to improve our own workmanship and to raise our market competitiveness and mitigate inspection risks by applying modern quality control methods.
