Cities are the center of manufacturing and living for mankind, playing an important role in economic and social development. With the concept of sustainable development and low carbon economy extensively accepted by the public, the eco-city concept becomes a broad consensus and begins to develop in full swing. The target of New Energy and Energy Conservation Strategies of Huashan Eco-City in Wuhan is to build a first-class and world's leading eco-city. The strategies analyze the local natural environment and infrastructure layout in depth, implementing new energy and energy-saving technology into actual construction projects. These projects are aimed to achieve optimal energy structure, improve energy efficiency of new buildings, and establish a safe efficient and sustainable energy supply system in Huashan Eco-City.In this thesis, research starts with the establishment of the eco-city index system, which is the foundation of the project. In the light of the index system, the technical route of the Huashan Eco-City research is confirmed. Firstly, sustainable development from the macro aspects, urban construction from the mesne aspect, and green construction from the micro aspect are analyzed as background. Secondly, the index of eco-city in various aspects is established from classifying and inducting main content of green urban transport, infrastructure indemnification, nature environment conservation, artificial environment coordination, economic and social development. Finally, the eco-city index system is concluded, including 4 building targets, 22 indicators level and 31 specific contents, which provides a significant theoretical basis for the construction of eco-city.As penetration point of energy planning and new energy constracting, the thesis combines systematic energy engineering and technology program evaluation theory. In this way, the thesis provides effective pre-demonstration of energy planning for the eco-city. As for the pre-established new energy systems, such as solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, geothermal heating/cooling and wind power generation systems, integrated application of these forms is studied. Furthermore, the technical analysis and evaluation for environmental benefits of the integration of architecture and planning are also investigated. Energy forecasting and program implementating are the key contents of this thesis. The pilot projects of energy distribution are discussed, utilizing the point-to-area method and taking the actual construction in Huashan Eco-City into consideration. As a result, the total electricity demand is 295,000kW, which is calculated with 2 different methods comparing to each other, load density and load per capita. Meanwhile, according to the function of specific landarea, the thesis forecasted the load and daily electricity consumption from 2010 to 2015. This result provides a factual reference for the actual projects.Based on the pre-established solar photovoltaic systems, 5MWp grid power system and 300KWp micro-grid power system are analyzed, providing an efficacious reference for the new energy technologies adopted in Huashan Eco-City.To some extent, studies in this thesis provide theoretical support and practical programs for the energy construction of Huashan Eco-City, which demonstrated the practical value of constructing Eco-City.
