The Research And Application Of Enterprise IT Multiple Project Risk Management

With modern information technology (IT) development, more and more information technology (IT) project implementation, the project's success or failure affects not only direct investment in the success or failure, but also because of information technology (IT) has a wider range of services, therefore, the success of IT implementation of the project has become an important economic development component. If successful project requires a number of factors, then the failure of the project is more or less defect can be found in the risk management. Corresponding to this, IT project risk management research will become increasingly important.In a single project environment, the risk management of each project can still rely on the various project managers and project team experience. Changes in the complex multi-project environment, how to understand the risk of relationship between multiple projects, and how to set up a organizational risk management mechanism cover a number of IT project management in a great enterprise/organization that is especially important thing, and that is the enterprise/organization must addressed issue as well. However, at present the research on how to effective multi-project risk management is still a part of the blank.This paper will be an enterprise risk management analysis, analyzes the characteristics of IT projects, review and compare the single-project risk management based on the actual concept of risk management and business practice, the use of statistical analysis, research the enterprise/organization for number of project risk management problems. Different multi-project environment for the risk assessment and improvement methods to do the research. Based on the above research and practical experience in project management, this paper proposes to build a methodology named multi-project enterprise / organization risk management cycle (MPRMC). That can be targeted to solve multi-project environment enterprise/organizations face unique and complex risk management issues, help them to management risk over multiple projects on the implementation of the global closed-loop management, and how the tracking and visualization combine to make tracking and managing them effectively described.Based on proposed MPRMC approach, the 6 IT projects selected from actual business environment, conducted a preliminary application to the methodology and verification, a research and analysis in risk visual tracking(RVT) is also apply on the application process and results. In the implementation process, a small part of the configuration parameters is adjusted and improve the methodology of structural elements. Eventually hope to make this method work well in the enterprise/organization multi-project risk management with continuous improvement, and finally some ideas on the environment and conditions to improve the adaptability of applications are put forward.
