Study On Project Management For Make-to-Order Medium And Small-Sized Manufacturing Enterprises

With growing industrial globalization and intensifying market competition, the life span of products is becoming increasingly shorter. High variety and low volume manufacturing has become the mainstream of manufacturing industry. Both market oriented enterprises and upper customer oriented enterprises, especially small and medium sized manufacturing enterprises that are oriented to their upper customers, have made make to order manufacturing the most important production pattern.Based on the SWOT analysis of small and medium enterprises, to understand their strengths and weaknesses, combined with project management theory, the paper summarize the necessities and main procedures of the small sized manufacturing enterprises to execute project management, and through an actual case study, the papaer discuss the project management status of company S.Trough the researches and analysis, this paper aim to provide some guide suggestions to the project management of medium and small sized manufacturing enterprises.
