Research On Protection And Land Intensive Utilization Of Huaiyang Ancient Town

With the acceleration of urbanization, the land became a major bottleneck of our economic development. Improve the utilization ratio of land, economical and intensive use of land is the necessarily way of our economy and social development. Due to the long history, many towns which have different cultural patterns and natural environment are existed. These towns often have some relatively intact historic areas. However, in the process of making intensive use of land, exploiting the potential of the stock of urban land, many people pay attention on the historic areas, to tear down the old buildings and do large-scale reconstruction. This way of high intensity exploiture and large-scale reconstruction causes immensely destroy of the historic areas, for this reason, it is necessary and urgent to do the research of using of historic areas intensively on the base of protection of cultural heritage.This paper focus on the ancient town Huaiyang, analyzes conservation status of the historical area and the existing problems of land use in order to find out an efficient way of using historical land intensive. In this paper, some methods of urban planning, relics conservation science, land economics, and the theories of sustainable development are used to achieve the goal. And the solution of Huaiyang is based on the research of the protection of historical cities both in home and abroad.This paper divided into five chapters: chapter one introduces the background, purpose and significance of the subject, and then gives general theoretical foundation and points out the frame work and direction of this paper. Chapter two sorts out the evolvement of historic areas'protection at home and abroad, and analyzes typical cases to find out the method of protecting and promoting land to use intensively during the updating. Chapter three analyzes the current state of Huaiyang. Collect and sort the history, urban development, historical and cultural relics and the preservation of the ancient city Huaiyang. Chapter four analyzes Huaiyang's land use. Make an assay of historical and cultural relics on the impact of intensive land use, and summary the problems of land use problems and further discuss the reason of extensive and unreasonable use of land. Chapter five finds a efficient path both protect the historical and cultural relics in Huaiyang and intensive use of land.
