As the primary element of productive force, human resources play an essential role in enterprise development, especially when market competition is fiercer than ever. As argued by master of modern management system Peter F. Drucker, "Human is the only and true resource in enterprise or institution." For any enterprise to survive, human resources serves as its infinite wealth, while the material and financial ones are relatively confined within certain limits. To exploit human resources, diligent digging is a must, while the major digging technique lies in training. In some developed countries, enterprises place a high value on training. Especially for some large companies, increasing efforts and money are put in training, as a common practice. Training is regarded as a major means to maintain core competitiveness for international companies. As predicated in U.S and World Report, in the next 50 years, enterprises will continue to increase their efforts in staff educational and vocational training. Training is recognized as the major solution to competiveness enhancement by enterprises of the 21st century.For insurance companies, marketing staff training is also one of the key links of their human resources management systems, which has been increasingly recognized as the major method to exploiting human resources, to improving qualifications of its marketing staff, and to enhancing core competence for the companies. We Sichuan Branch of China Life Insurance already has our standard process system in place with systematic training plans, but the deficiencies of such a training system are obvious-oversimplified content, relatively irrational system, lack of orientation, and no actual effects. Thus the management has been focusing on the designing of a marketing staff training system adapted to our own characteristics. Based on qualitative and quantitative analysis, the use of theories and practice, with modern training theories and the adult learning theory adopted, this paper tries to conduct a systematic survey into the marketing staff training system of Sichuan Branch of China Life Insurance. First, the deficiencies of the existing training system are explored. And based on such analysis, a scientific employee training system designing plan and the measures to implement such a plan are developed through the studying of marketing staff training organization structure and current status of our marketing staff, the reasonable grouping of the training objects, and the analyzing of the comprehensive training requirements. Then, an assessment system is developed to evaluate the effects of the training system. Finally, a system is designed to ensure the efficiency of the training system from the following aspects:the establishment and application of an incentive system, employee career management, the founding of a learning organization, and the integration of training with the enterprise culture.To summarize, a training system has to be constantly improved in accordance with its objectives, environment, and the optimization process in use in order to drive a company into further development. This paper tries to provide some thinking modes and theories for reference, hoping to help the construction of a marketing staff training system of Sichuan Branch of China Life Insurance.
