Yunnan Phosphorus Group's Development Strategy

Yunnan Phosphate Chemical Group Co., Ltd (abbreviated as YPC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuntianhua group. YPC is the largest state-owned large-scale modernized open-air phosphate selecting enterprises by so far. It is national key chemical mining enterprises and phosphate production base, national phosphate & compound fertilizer base in Yunnan supporting phosphate rock acquisition production base, and it is also one of national green mining. It is famous for owning postdoctoral workstation and the research center of national phosphate resources exploitation and utilization of engineering technology.It is forty-six years since Kunyang Phosphate Mine was founded in 1965. Especially the nearly 10 years, YPC was awarded "national advanced mining enterprises for reasonable exploitation and utilization of mineral resources" by Ministry of Land and Resources. That is because it is guided by the scientific development view, and adheres to the business development concept of "enterprise benefit and social benefit, resources efficiency and environmental benefits".At present, the influence of financial crisis still exist. There are a series of problems in the downstream enterprises, such as overcapacity and insufficient funds. Although the status has changed already, there are also lots of uncertain factors and they makes the phosphorite-market unstable. In addition, with the development of society, it is necessary for YPC to pursue new development and opportunities. Of course, the challenge and pressure will increases, too. Under the background, YPC published the development strategy in this paper.Some management theory and methods are used comprehensively, and it makes a comprehensive, thorough, developing analysis to the external and internal environment of YPC. Then this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the internal and external opportunities and threats by SWOT model-integrated-method. Based on these, YPC designed its development strategic. Through the research, this paper points out the development direction for YPC, as well as investment projects. That is to keep adhering to the "resource control strategy", expanding phosphate resources and developing the resource-foundation. In the same time, planning reasonably and orderly, and keep the advantages improving comprehensively. With the opportunity of "835" project construction, it is necessary to develop the phosphorous chemical, technology industry and green mining. With the corresponding developing strategy putted out, YPC must have a continuously, rapid development in the near future.
