Practical Research Of Guidance Documents For Promoting PSPC Standard In Shipbuilding Enterprises

With the formal adoption of the PSPC resolved at the MSC82 meeting for IMO which is held in Istanbul, Turkey in 2006, it has been the mandatory requirements within the framework of the international convention. It is a severe test and challenge for China's shipbuilding industry and will have a significant impact for enterprises to promote and respond to the standard., Implementing the standard is a systematic project. Relying on the attention of coating sectors alone is far from enough, it should also gain the support of the shipyard leaders and relevant professionals because it is related to many other professions such as processing, cell, carrying, painting, outfitting, accommodation and so on. By studying the implementation of the standard, the enterprises carry out the internal publicizing, simulation test, factor analysis, process optimization, CLASS assessment department positions and so on and establish a comprehensive approach and reliable sector response mechanisms, forming enterprises'normative documents which are suitable for PSPC standard and accumulating the experience which may have impact on the shipbuilding cycle and cost. In that way, enterprises can minimize the influence of the production to the great extent, improve the management level and enhance the ability of shipbuilding accuracy.
