The Accumulative Way Of Corporate Social Capital In Private Enterprises Based On Corporate Social Responsibility

Social capital has been a hot field of business research after its conception. The most important reason of private enterprises'rapid development is relying heavily on the social capital in the context of poor human capital. So private enterprises must accumulate social capital relying on the valid accumulative way in the complex environment. Because of the system,structure and culture in china, the accumulative way of social capital in our private enterprises is so narrow:relying on the blood,relative,hometown and entrepreneur's engagement in politics that will obstruct private enterprises' further development. So exploring the accumulative way of social capital in our private enterprises is very meaningful in the theory and realistic research.Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is anther hot field of business research. The enterprise has to undertake the responsibility on the view of stakeholders. When the enterprise undertakes the responsibility, it is accumulating social capital. Therefore, taking the CSR and accumulating social capital muse has some connections. So combining the research results of CSR and social capital, this paper aims to explore the valid accumulative way of social capital based CSR in private enterprises, providing theoretical basis for the sustained development of private enterprises.The logic of this paper is followed as:firstly, the author analyses the source of social capital's accumulation; secondly, the author analyses the present situation of social capital 's accumulation about its way,feature,reason and weakness; thirdly, this paper summarizes the valid accumulative way in private enterprises by the analyses of CSR and social capital's connection; finally, by introducing the case of Xinguang Holding Group to demonstrate an empirical study.The structure of this paper is described as four parts.In the first part, this paper describes the background,proposes and structure of this research. A brief overview of the theoretical foundations and research method are also introduced in this part.In the second part, this paper analyses the present situation of social capital's accumulation. According to the theory of dynamic in behavior, the source of social capital 's accumulation based on the blood,relative,hometown and entrepreneur's engagement in politics, which will obstruct private enterprises'further development. Private enterprises have to connect with other stockholders to get more.In the third part, this paper summarizes the valid accumulative way in private enterprises based on CSR. Firstly, this paper lists some challenges to illustrate the necessary of paying more attention to the other stockholders; secondly, this paper analyses the content and principal of CSR; lastly, this paper analyses the connections between CSR and the accumulation of social capital.In the fourth part, this paper selects Xinguang Holding Group which is growing fast as a case to test and verify empirical results.
