The concept of main function area was first proposed in the outline of the 11th Five-Year Plan's recommendations of National Economy and Social Development,advocated for optimizing land space division into optimized development,key development, restricted development , and prohibit development of four main functional area. For the purpose of regulating space development order and forming a rational structure of space development,adjustment and improvement should required in the light of the concept of main function area on regional policy and performance evaluation.Currently , because of the county-level main function divisions for evaluation units was smaller, lack technical methods System, basically trend to qualitative analysis.Simultaneously,it is not enough to link up with the provincial, city and county-level planning of convergence,which is not conducive to different regions of the Sustainable Land use management. Therefore,this paper is committed to the county division of the main functional areas optimize the integration of technology and methods through theoretical analysis, mathematical modeling combined with empirical research,change district direction. according to the results of specific land use. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) This paper summarized the main function of research status and summary of zoning system of technical methods, learned from the existing national, provincial partitioning method results, built the main functional divisions of county technology system, including the idea of functional zoning, principles and methods, basis and theoretical foundation, division technology and processes to determine the index system. Took town for the evaluation unit,applied composite index and spatial clustering analysis method to calculate the composite index . Then,used the results of minimum variance method to revise the functional partition and adjustment, determined the final partition scheme.(2) It's clearly definged the relationship between the main functional areas and land use structure optimization, and then carried out land use spatial analysis, designed structural optimization of land use models, including variable set, the establishment of constraints to determine the objective function.Finally, this paper utilized the gray linear programming software (Lingo) to find the optimal solution,and evaluated the optimization program.(3)This paper took Gushi County, Henan Province as an example, hold 32 townships for evaluation unit,launched a comprehensive evaluation from the township's resources on environmental capacity, existing development density and development potential.Then,the author carriedout the cluster analysis, used the minimum variance method to divide land use structure type areas. In order to get the final plan of the main functional areas, we should amend the preliminary classification program combined with the county industrial development planning, urban planning,and so on. Lastly,we considered land use structure optimization by the gray linear programming metheds, proposed the direction for Land use change.
