| Although agro-processing industry has become one of the fastest growing pillar industries in China, there is still large gap comparing with developed countries, such as low level in processing, not high value-added agricultural products. Agro-processing industry cluster in China started late, mainly stays in the early stage of development that gains low-cost advantage base on the abundance of resources, so it is an inevitable choice for agro-processing industry cluster to go into the way of obtaining advantages base on innovation. Upgrading of industry cluster can drive the entire industry to upgrade, and the most important factor to upgrade industry cluster is the overall innovation of cluster. In order to find out the innovation system of agro-processing industry cluster how to run, the innovation mechanism and influencing factors of cluster must be analyzed, and then different innovation models of industry cluster can be summarized. Therefore, the innovation mechanism and model of agro-processing industry cluster is a real problem that is worthy to study.This topic is derived from 2008 social science research foundation of Wuhan City (08022) and 2011 humanities and social sciences focus research project of Hubei provincial department of education (2011jyte117). In this paper, qualitative and quantitative analysis, normative analysis and empirical analysis are integrated used to carry out research work, and comparative analysis is highlight. The course of study is closely around the subject of innovation mechanism and model of agro-processing industry cluster. Firstly, the current researches of domestic and international industry cluster's innovation mechanism and models are hackled and reviewed; and then the characteristics and development status of agro-processing industry cluster are analyzed, it can be found that agro-processing industry cluster is at a low level, lack of overall innovation. Secondly, from the perspective of the evolution, agro-processing industry cluster is classified into resource-based, chain-type and circular type, which depends on the degree of knowledge dependence of cluster, and inter-firm relations; from cluster drivers, technology innovation, competitive strategy and other aspects, the three types of agro-processing industry cluster are compared. Thirdly, base on the normative analysis of cluster innovation mechanism, the innovation actors and influencing factors are analyzed, and three-level model of agro-processing industry cluster innovation mechanism is constructed, namely, carrier layer, running layer, and performance layer. At last, base on the perspective that different agro-processing industry cluster should have different innovation model, combined with the characteristic of different cluster, the innovation models of resource-based, chain-type and circular type agro-processing industry cluster are proposed, and specific cases are selected to demonstrate all of the above; agro-processing industry cluster innovation models are compared from space, technological systems, innovation diffusion and government acts.The results of this research will provide a useful theoretical reference for the formation, upgrading and sustainable development of agro-processing industry cluster, promote agro-processing enterprises to innovate, and enhance the core competitiveness of China's agro-processing industry. |
