A Study On The Optimizing And Upgrading Of The Industrial Structure In Guizhou

The development of economy is always achieved in the expansion of the total amount and the optimizing and upgrading of structure. During the past period, though the industry of Guizhou generally realized sustainable and rapidly growth, structural problems that obstacles the economic development of Guizhou haven't been solved effectively, and they gradually become barriers that impede the development of industry itself and national economy in Guizhou. Thus, using relevant theories and methods in industrial economy, this thesis studied the procession and status of the optimizing and upgrading of industrial structure in Guizhou,then within the analysis frame of "supply-demand", the thesis studied the reasons and dynamic mechanism in the optimizing and upgrading of industrial structure in Guizhou with tools such as input and output analysis, production function analysis and so on. Meanwhile, this essay did a preliminary analysis on the choosing of dominant industries with the method of principal component analysis, based on this, basic ideas and countermeasures for the optimizing and upgrading of industrial structure in Guizhou were given.This paper reached the following conclusions:Firstly, the level of the industrialization in Guizhou is on the second stage of preliminary industrialization. Secondly, the main problems of the optimizing and upgrading of industrial structure in Guizhou are that both advancement level and rationalization level are low. Thirdly, the main reason that resulting the optimization and upgrading problems of Guizhou is the supply factor, while the low contribution of total factor is one of the main reasons, and low rate of Contribution of total factor is the vital reason. Fourthly, with principal component analysis,22 industrial sections are arranged in order, and this will provide significant basis for choosing the dominant industries.Fifthly, the optimizing and upgrading of structure in Guizhou should focus on the leading industry, by improving the ability of independent innovation, improving the capital investment, taking advantage of labor resources, emphasizing the institutional innovation and other ways.There are two innovations in this essay. Firstly, much importance was attached to the comprehensive analysis of reasons that caused the problems of industrial structure in Guizhou. Secondly, method of horizontal comparison was used intensively. There are several defects for the existing research on optimization and upgrading of industrial structure in Guizhou, this paper revealed the problems of industrial structure in Guizhou and explored the cause of the problems compared with the national industry, and this could better identify problems and analyze reasons. To certain extent, both innovations deepened our theoretical understanding of related issues, and they were helpful to seek solutions of the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure.
