In this knowledge-based economy era, it's a common consensus by modern people that talents are the most valuable in the 21st century. Nowadays, human resources have surpassed other production factors becoming the first important resource, and the key factor for a company to win the priority in competition is whether there are talented people in the company. Where do talents come from? Apart from the skills grasped before company staff enters the group, more of their skills are acquired through work and studies after they are admitted by the group. Then, we must attach great importance on how to build the staff training system in order to turn the group into a learning-oriented one. As an important component of the socialist market economy, small and medium-sized companies are playing a significant role in enhancing the prosperity and development of market economy, solving employment problems and improving society steadiness. This paper analyzes the present training situation in small and medium-sized companies and points out what are their problems.
