As the tremendous development of the world economic integration andinformation globalization, it deepens the connection with Chinese and the world’s economy.Those Chinese enterprises, especially the small and medium-sized private enterprises, willbe forced to enter the fast lane of economic development. Therefore, increasing theconcern and input in human resource development of small and medium-sized enterprises,plays an important role in the sustained and healthy development of Chinese economy aswell as the stability of society.In recent years, human resources management has become the core of enterprisemanagement and human capital also becomes the most valuable assets. As an importantpart of HRM, training is an important method to preserve and increase the value of thecompanies. Through training enterprises will gain the required talents and the employeeswill also be able to survive and develop in the ever-changing environment. Thus, it is verysignificant for businesses and employees to design a set of training programs in line withthe enterprise development according to its own characteristics.In the thesis, it focuses on analysis and research of staff training activities in Chinesesmall and medium-sized private ventures, combined with some training experience of theworld-reknowned corporates. The author takes one of the small private venture in Shanghaias an example, uses the theories and methods of Human Performance Technology, ModernHuman Resources Management on Training and Development, Instructional SystematicDesign and Adult learning theory to analyze and summarize the training problems in thisenterprise, and also proposes some solutions to redesign the company’s training programs.
