A Study Of The Impact Supply Chain Control Modes Have On Supply Chain Risk

The purpose of this paper is to find out the relationship between supply chain control modes when they influence supply chain risk, with trust as moderator. On the basis of summarizing predecessors'work, this paper puts forward the theoretical model of the relationship between supply chain control modes based on supply chain risk, and designs a questionnaire for this model. With data which are supplied by companies, this paper analyses the model and gets conclusions, which are as follows:Firstly, the supply chain control can reduce the supply chain risk. But in different level of trust among supply chain members, the same supply chain control mode has different impact on supply chain risk. Even under the same level of trust, different supply chain control modes have different impact on supply chain risk.Secondly, under low level of trust, supply chain formal control has more impact on supply chain risk than supply chain social control. Supply chain formal control can reduce supply chain relationship risk and performance risk effectively, and supply chain social control can only reduce supply chain relationship risk effectively.Thirdly, under high level of trust, supply chain formal control can reduce supply chain performance risk effectively, and supply chain social control can reduce supply chain relationship risk effectively. Supply chain formal control has more impact on supply chain performance risk than supply chain social control. Supply chain social control has more impact on supply chain relationship risk than supply chain formal control.Lastly, in the transition from low level trust to high level trust, the impact supply chain formal control has on relationship risk is reduced, and the impact supply chain social control has on relationship risk becomes stronger. The relationship between supply chain formal control and supply chain social control is replacement. But there is no obvious change between supply chain formal control and supply chain social control when they have impact on performance risk.
