Six Sigma Company H Applied Research, Reducing The Cost Of Quality

Since the establishment of six sigma in Motorola and the successful implement of it in Motorola and GE, the six sigma management launched a storm of management. It has been a modern quality management tool, which can continue to improve business and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.This paper consists of three chapters. The first chapter, which expounded the background and the meaning of this title, briefly introduced the present situation of H enterprise and analysis the problems of its product. And the second chapter answered what six sigma is and explained the role it played in reducing the quality cost. Firstly, this chapter studied the origin, development, meaning, characteristics and other basic concepts of six sigma. And then it introduced the implement steps of the six sigma, staffing, and the key factors affecting its implement. Further more, this paper explained the general structure of the product quality and analyzed the deference between the traditional quality cost concept and the one of six sigma. Finally, this chapter reviewed the related research of the six sigma at home and abroad.In the following chapter, H Company was taken as an example to show that H. used the six sigma management to reduce the quality cost of HF18.0-100KW successfully, and to set the anticipate target of six sigma, and to formulate the import strategy of it. The critical thing was to improve the process by the six sigma projects,analyze the details of every periods, use quality tools combining with statistical software MINITAB to solve practical problems,such as the brainstorming, flow charts, process capability analysis, praetor analysis, analysis of variance, etc.Finally, by summarizing the conclusions of former theory research and case study, we conclude Six Sigma management systematically, propose the problems on the implement of Six Sigma management, and put forward our own idea on Six Sigma.We hope our work can play the role of drawing and reference for enterprises applying Six Sigma to those cost and quality management, especially those having a similar situation with H.
