Low-carbon Economy Development In Shandong Province Countermeasures

As the accelerated growing of urbanization and industrialization. China is witnessing an increasing demand of energy. Also, the increasing emission of CO2 and other greenhouse gas has worsened the situation of global warming. Developing a low-carbon economy has become a common expectation of the world, and this is also a must for transforming the economy growth from an extensive mood to intensive mood, and for the realization of the sustainable development.This paper, on the basis of the background and significance of developing the low-carbon economy, put forward the research outline and its innovation. This paper also takes one step further in identifying the core connotation of the low-carbon economy, on which basis, identifying the basic concepts and relevant theoretical basis. On the basis of analyzing the development data of Shandong, this paper put forward problems in the developing the low-carbon economy in Shandong. It also discussed key points and policy suggestions in three perspectives, including improving governance system, launching effective long-term low-carbon mechanism and preaching low-carbon life and establishing low-carbon consumption system. The abovementioned are expected to provide our low-carbon economy with theoretical basis and reference countermeasures.
