As the largest developing country in the world, China has had the double employment pressures from off-farm workers and off-job workers for a long time. And the unemployment crisis caused by the international financial crisis gave a great challenge to China. While, because of its low doorsill and low diploma request, tourism informal sector plays an important part in easing employment pressure of a district or country, especially for the developing country.This thesis is divided into five parts:the first chapter introduces the concept of informal sector, defines and classifies tourism informal sectors, finally summarizes study process of informal tourism employment, that is, self-employment, in the hope of drawing scholars'more attention to them. Chapter two re-estimates the volume of self-employees in tourism informal sector using the previous data and reflects the tourism employment status. Chapter three, the main part of the thesis, based on the data of marketing research in Qingdao and Yantai, analyses a significant impact for evaluation to the status of tourism informal sector. Firstly the thesis raises two assumptions, and then tests the assumptions using descriptive statistics analysis and regression analysis, finally gets an impact factor model. Chapter four and chapter five discuss the problems on tourism informal sector and submit some reasonable policy suggestions relevantly.The innovation of the thesis includes:firstly, the thesis defines and classifies tourism informal sectors. Secondly, the thesis re-estimates the volume of self-employees in tourism informal sector. Thirdly, empirical research on the tourism informal sector fills in the research blank and creates a precedent.
