Study On Indicator System To Evaluate Development Of Modern Service Industry

Modern Service Industry belongs to the knowledge and information intensive service. It was born in the age of the high-developed second industry and depends on the advanced science and technology and modern management theory. Promoting modern service industry is an essential method for China to rise up our people's living-standard and fulfill the great economical surpass. Until now, reasonably planning development project of modern service industry has been one of the important measures of Chinese government. Therefore, our government need to make full use of objective and comprehensive evaluation to make rational modern service industry development project. Consequently we should construct an evaluation system in order to evaluate the developing level of modern service industry, and so it has a significant practical meaning.The research of modern service industry evaluation mainly focus on the Competitive forces and industry crowding effect and so forth during the previous literatures. However, we have no evaluation system of modern service industry to satisfy this requirement. Compared to traditional service industry, modern service industry has its own characteristics of high-technical,well-educated employee,high-profit and knowledge-intensive. For this reason, the evaluation of modern service industry is quite different from the evaluation of traditional service industry, and the evaluation index system of modern service industry should embody the specialties of it.Over the background of developing modern service industry, my thesis is concentrate on the evaluation of modern service industry. The main content of the thesis is the construction of evaluation index system and evaluation methods. By means of overcoming some little disadvantages of the previous research, this makes some improvement in the construction of index system and evaluation methods.To sum up, the contribution of my thesis is as follows:In the first instance, takes into account the characteristics of modern service industry, based on our national statistic index system, consider the all and the one and the local at the same time, consider the present and the future simultaneously. from four aspects——-"level quo of modern service industry","level quo of important trade of modern service industry","service performance of modern service industry","developing environment of modern service industry "to construct modern service evaluation index system.In the next place, constructs the evaluation models which depends on factor analysis and analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Compare to the traditional evaluation method, this way not only employ index data thoroughly, but also create objective index weight and abundant detailed evaluation information.
