Analysis Of Regional Disparity In Henan Inbound Tourism Based On Unbalance Development Theory

Tourism is acknowledged as one of the effective means to balance regional disparity, but regional tourism imbalance is a common phenomenon. Henan province has the plentiful tourism resources, but it always can't become a great tourist economy province. Entering the 21st century, because of government's attention, Henan tourism economy is developing rapidly. In 2009, Henan decided to travel as one of pillar industries. However, regional disparity in Henan inbound tourism is still very large. Therefore, the paper analyses regional disparities of inbound tourism in order to reduce regional tourism disparities and harmonize economical disparities in Henan province. This article is divided into six parts:The first part is an introduction. It introduces the background and significance,Theory of uneven development brief, Summary of recent studies and research methods and data sources to provide the basis of this study.The second part analyses respectively the environment (natural environment, economic environment and socio-cultural environment), the basic element for inbound tourism, the development of inbound tourism nearly 10 years.The third part is the analysis of the time evolution characteristics for the inbound tourism regional differences in Henan province. Indicators selected, the Testing Method and the relevant indicators measured are described. Then based on inbound tourism revenue data of every city in 2000-2009, the part uses standard deviation, coefficient of variation, geographic concentration index, MLD index calculation method to measure the regional differences in Inbound Tourism on the time evolution, and comes to the law that from 2000 to 2009, the absolute disparity becomes larger and larger, the relative disparity is getting smaller, tourist geographic concentration index becomes small year by year.The fourth part is the spatial characteristics of Inbound Tourism regional differences in Henan. The part analyses separately the space distribution features, the change trend of space zone, and the relative development speed space differences in the inbound tourism regional differences of Henan province. The results show that the inbound tourism in space exist obvious regional differences, and present the polarizing characteristics. It can be divided into developed region and undeveloped region two levels; According to development planning, Henan province was divided into four zones to analyze the change trend, then according to the latest five years of relative development rate, the article selects"nich >1, 0.2 < nich <1, nich< 0.2 " three intervals to divide Henan inbound tourism into relatively develops fast, general, slower three types.The fifth part is the regional differences in Inbound Tourism influencing factors. The article selects fifteen influencing factors to structure the index system, and the result indicates that the influence of Industry factor is strengthening to inbound tourism in Henan province, and is in the dominant position; Service factor influence is relatively minor, but it begins to rise gradually; the influence of information factor has been more remarkable, and is one of the key factors in the process of Henan inbound development.The conclusion is in the sixth part. The main conclusions and the relevant policy implications are described.
