In recent years, with the rapid development of inbound tourism across the country, compared with domestic tourism, inbound tourism made great economic benefits,but led to regional entry tourist market competition becomes increasingly fierce market development shows "all sing the opera, the race to the bottom" vulgar development model. In the inbound tourism faces external source market under the background of fierce competition, Inner Mongolia according to their individual characteristics and advantages, and accurate and scientifically red-tourism market, targeted the effective participation in regional tourism competition and cooperation, and realize the sustainable development,it is imminet.The studies takes Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as an example, using both the theoretical analysis and empirical research, combining quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, using statistical process software Excel to analyse and process the obtained data, making use of geographic concentration index, BCG matrix model, deviation a share analysis, center of gravity model and other mathematical model, systematically analyzes the Inner Mongolia inbound tourism source market space structure characteristics, according to the results of analysis,summarized the existed problems of the inbound tourism market in Inner Mongolia, put forward countermeasures for the inbound tourism development.The research shows that:(1) inbound tourist source market space structure characteristics,during 2000 to 2009, the inbound tourism market pattern of Inner Mongolia produced very big change, Foreigners number small increase, However, relative to foreigners, the number of visitors of Hong Kong, Macao,and Taiwan repeated fluctuations,and the source market extremely unstable;The inbound tourist source market of Inner Mongolia is too centralized, are susceptible to impact from main inbound tourists of Mongolia and Russia's change of social,economic and political. The sustainable development of Inner Mongolia inbound tourism are adverse.The inbound tourist source market of Inner Mongolia lacks star market, and tourist market structure isn,t perfect;The market foundations of Mongolia and the Russian are good, with considerable competitive and transfer advantage. The market foundations of Thailand and Singapore are bad,with weak competitive advantage.The competitive market advantage of other countries also should be further enhanced;(2) In the entry tourism destination market space structure characteristics, from 2000-2009, each union cities of Inner Mongolia, reception tourist arrivals number increase year by year, and the growth rate are bigger; The regional differences and the share of market difference during the eastern regions,the central and western regions are bigger. Tourism center of gravity is unstable, and phased migrated.The inbound tourism destination market still exist many problems,and need to be further optimized.So, for the tourist.market, we should take method of distinguishing tourism market, manageing market differently Strengthening regional cooperation, increasing number of overseas visitors; building famous brands, promoting internationalization level of tourism product. But to the destination market,we should strengthen the regional tourism cooperation between inter-province outer-province,purse regional cooperation, build regional culture, realize double-win, strengthen the functions of government guidance and regulating,create harmonious tourism environment. By these methods,we will reach the goal of complementary coordination, sustainable development between different parts of Inner Mongolia.
