Construction And Evaluation Of Green Competitiveness Of Petrochemical Enterprises

The petrochemical industry is the pillar industry of Chinese nationaleconomy, the development of the petrochemical enterprises play an importantrole in the development of Chinese nation economy. Sustainable developmenthas been acknowledged around the world and it has been a solution to thecontradiction of the economy development and environmental pollution.China also vigorously promotes the sustainable development strategy, whichrequires changing the previous development patterns of petrochemicalenterprises and taking the road of sustainable development. After enteringWTO, our petrochemical enterprises face serious green barriers and thechallenges of foreign multinational petrochemical companies. So evaluation ofgreen competitiveness of Chinese petrochemical enterprises has veryimportant significance.Green competitiveness of enterprises is a concept which derives from thecompetitiveness of enterprises, based on green management and sustainabledevelopment and reflected in green resources, green production, greentechnology, green supply chain, green marketing and green financialaccounting, etc else. According the research of green competitiveness at home and abroad andcombined with the characteristics of Chinese petrochemical enterprises, thispaper defines the meaning of green competitiveness of Chinese petrochemicalenterprises, analyses the influencing factors of green competitiveness, basedon which this paper build a evaluation index of green competitiveness ofpetrochemical enterprises.Based on the evaluation index system build in the early study, this paperselects the method of index data processing and the comprehensive method ofdetermining weights and discusses all the methods selected.In the phase of empirical study, Sinopec is taken as an object of studying.Simple weighted linear method, grey correlation degree method and entropytechnology is used to evaluate the green competiveness of Sinopec from2003to2010. Then Scatter-degree is applied to identify which method is better. Theresult of the method which is identified as a better method is used to analysesthe change of green competitiveness of Sinopec from2003to2010.At last the main conclusion, innovation points and the way of improvinggreen competitiveness of petrochemical enterprises are given.
