An Empirical Analysis Of China's Import Trade Promoting Ecnomic Growth

Import is an important part of a country's foreign trade. But effected by the mercantilist andthe Cairns super trade protectionism, import trade has always been regarded as an reduction factorof economic growth, and rejected by the people for a long time. In this regard, this paper studiedfrom two levels of the theoretical and empirical analysis.This paper consists of five major parts.Thefirst part introduces the macro background of this article, the research methods and author reviewedthe research that relevant scholars previously done. In the second part, the author build a theoreticalframework for the topic of imports promoting ecnomic growth and review the relevant theory ofeconomic growth and import trade,carry out a detailed analysis of the pathway of import tradepromoting economic growth.The third part introduces the quo of China's imports. The author makedetailed analysis of four aspects of trade,including trade volume, trade structure, trade, subject andmode of trade,and grasp the situation of China's imports from marc. The fourth part mainlyincludes two aspects of the empirical analysis. A empirical analysis of imports and economicgrowth use measurement method of co-integration, error correction model. The analysis showedthat the import trade and economic growth is the existence of co-integration relationship. Secondempirical analysis of imports of technology spillovers use the measurement method ofco-integration, error correction model. The analysis showed that total factor productivity dependsnot only on their own R&D investment and technology imports have a significant relationship.The fifth part introduces the main problems in China's imports, and proposed countermeasures.
