Landslides are one major highway distress. Landslides often cause direct and indirecteffects to surrounding environment, different kinds of facilities and public safety and welfare.With the fast development of economy, more and more landslides are induced by humanactivities. The frequency, scale and damages to human of these landslides have the trend ofascent.The paper studied the landslide of Ramp A of Xiaobu overpass in the backbone highwayfrom Heshuntangxi to Liaomei Highway in Foshan City. Based on the existed geologyinformation and cause of landslides, a repair scheme is proposed with the analysis oflandslide stability using transmission factor method.The main research work and achievements include:①The paper obtained the information about the distribution of body, boundary condition,patterns of sliding surface, and characteristics of sliding belt with the analysis of geologyinformation. The reason and mechanism of landslide are found.②The computation parameters of stability analysis are defined based on soil test data.The stability computation is developed with transmission factor method for the representativesections of landslides.③Based on the results of stability analysis, many treatment schemes are proposed. Thecomparisons among these schemes are made in terms of technology, construction time andeconomy, and the better schemes are chosen.The paper analyzed the stability and treatment method of Ramp A of Xiaobu overpass,which is good reference to treat similar small and medium landslides.
