This paper is a part of the treatment and research of geological hazard of Wuzhou, which is entrusted by Wuzhou Municipal Bureau of State Land & Resources. Wuzhou city is one of the type mountain cities in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region , which is a geological-hazard-prone area.Through analyzing the related parameters of soil layers in landslide treatment in Wuzhou city, a little difference is found between the recommended value of unit weight and data by experiments, whereas some difference between the recommended value of the shearing strength and data by experiments. The recommended values of the shearing strength of all projects can be in the influence of the subjective factors, so that some difficulty are found to audit.It had a fall of the greatest rainstorm on June 8th ,2006. The rainfall was 300mm during six hours. A continual heavy rain, water-collecting amount had become big and the sloping land were washed. The infiltration of rainwater can make unconsolidated formation into the saturated estate. Many shallow landslides are found in city. It is important guidance function for engineering about the stability of the landslide under the intensive rainfall condition. Under the intensive rainfall condition,considering the seepage force,and building an reasonable model about the stability of side slope.This model is analyzed the stability of side slope using the transferring coefficient method in the limit balance method.Adopting 102 sections from some the landslide treatments in Wuzhou,and comparing the coefficient of stability by that model with the coefficient of stability by engineering by nonparametric tests for 2 related samples.An analysis results in the following conclusion that no significant difference between the two datas. Therefore the model is suitable for the objectivenesse model. This model can simulate actually the stability of landslide during the rainstorm.After analyzing the prevention measures of some treating the landslide in Wuzhou. Connecting formation characteristic, which includes the granite area and the sandstone area, adopting different prevention measures to different area. In a short word, some prevention measures are fit for the landslide in Wuzhou. It is reference value for prevention measures. When a part of the surface layer collapsed, adopting drainage system. When too high and too steep for shallow landslide or collapse of parts, adopting load shedding and cutting slope. When a landslide and the carrying capacity is high, adopting Anti-slide piles. When the carrying capacity of the surface layer is low, but the carrying capacity of the deep-seated is high, adopting rock bolt. When a big landslide, one prevention measure cannot fulfil the need of the landslide, adopting some prevention measures together.
