Carbon fiber composite materials are widely used as structural materials andanti-ablation materials because of its light weight, high strength, high temperatureresistance, corrosion resistance, excellent thermodynamic properties andcharacteristics. Its application in the automotive, aerospace, defense and other fieldshas also got more and more attention. A lot of heat comes from laser irradiation is themain reason for destruction of the composite laminated plate, so it is necessary tostudy the various effects of the plate irradiateid by laser. The temperature field and ablation profiles of the carbon fiber/epoxy resincomposite laminated plate have been analyzed through testing and numericalsimulation. The effects of laser irradiation to the temperature field and ablationprofiles have also been researched. The main content of the dissertation includes that:(1) Using the infrared thermal imaging system, the temperature field of carbonfiber epoxy resin composite irradiated by continuous laser were studied, and obtainedthe front and back surface temperature distribution of the composite laminated plateunder laser irradiation. The effects of laser intensity, thickness and ply method on thetemperature field distribution of composite laminated plate was also discussedrespectively. And the ablation phenomenon, ablation products and ablationmorphology of the composite laminated plate irradiated by laser has also beenmicroscopic analysised. In addition, the aluminum alloy plate and coated aluminumcylindrical shell have been tested under laser irradiation, obtained the distribution ofthe temperature field and compared to the results of composites materials in the sameconditions.(2) Based on the front and back surface temperature field which come fromtesting program, establishing the three-dimensional finite element model used tosimulate the laser irradiation composite transient temperature field, and the finiteelement analysis results agree well with the experimental results in the same laserirradiation conditions.(3) Based on element removal technology, the three-dimensional finite element model used to simulate the thermal ablation of composite irradiated by laser has beenestablished, and compared to the experimental results with the same laser irradiationconditions, even the effects of laser mode, spot size and different materials to the laserirradiation thermal ablation numerical simulation was also discussed respectively. Theresult show that the laser mode have a major impact on the thermal ablationmorphology of the composite laminated plate, and the parameters of materials is themain reason for the size of heat-affected zone.
