So it isnecessary to develop an automated machinery to replace manual-weaving tobaccoleaves, which can improve the efficiency and reduce the labor intensity.At present, the tobacco leaves weaving machines that developed in our country isdivided into two categories: swing-link type and sewing type. The type of swing-linktobacco leaves weaving machine do not improve the efficiency of weaving tobaccoleaves significantly. The automatic tobaccoleaves weaving machine use the type of sewing machine and intermittent feeding modeto finish weaving tobacco leaves.②Introducing the large CAD/CAM/CAE software UG and virtual prototypetechnology. This paper mainly introduce the modeling module, assembly module andmotion simulation module during the process of design, as well as the significance oftobacco leaves weaving machine design based on UG.③Designing the overall structure of the tobacco leaves weaving machine. Designing the thorn-material structure, pick-line structure, transmission, and tobaccotransportation devices of the tobacco leaves weaving machine. Check the strength andlife of the major parts.④Applying UG to finish the parametric modeling and the virtual assembly oftobacco leaves weaving machine. Checking the static interference of the virtualassembly tobacco leaves weaving machine.Discovering the unreasonable of thedesigned parts and modifying in time.⑤Simplifying the virtual assembled tobacco leaves weaving machine, creatingkinematics pair, applying drivers and applying loads.
