With the development of modern auto industry,The manufacture technological lever ofengine parts have become increasingly high demand.For this reason,exploiting themanufacture technique of key engine parts means great to improve the competitiveness ofautomotive industry and promote the development of the auto industry.Assembled camshaft, where shaft tube and cam are separately produced and thenassembled, has offered a range of remarkable advantages in cost reduction,weight saving,optimum combination of cam/shaft materials, design and manufacture flexibility andperformance improvement over conventional camshafts made from one material. Thistechnology is very important to reduce the automobile cost, lighten the engine weight andimprove the engine performance.Assembled camshafts are attracted much attention ascompetitive products and technologies for camshaft manufacture because of its unique,composite design and special features compared to conventional camshaft. As a noveltechnology of camshaft manufacture, assembled camshaft has obvious advantages, it is themain developing object of camshaft manufacture.Knurling connection method which is a new connection method of assembled camshaftis researched and developed by the Roll Forging Research Institute of Jilin Universityindependently develops.The process feasibility of knurling connection method is proved byconnection intensity experiment.In order to make the technology realize industrialization,on the basis of the existing theories,the design of NC Assembly Machine for the AssembledCamshaft is the key.Therefore,the main study content of this thesis is to design NC Assembly Machine forthe Assembled Camshaft based on the knurling connection technology.According to thedesign size,this paper combines with the modern computer and uses the CATIA software toestablish the dummy machine and to do the kinematics analysis.The main work of this paper has been done as following:1.Study of knurling connection mechanismThe connection technology of assembled camshaft decide its manufacturing techniqueand equipment.On the basis of explaining the various connection methods and types,thepaper deeply studies knurling connection mechanism,and discusses the possibility which these method are used in production.2.Analysis of overall program and assembly process design for assembly machineAccording to the properties of the knurling joint process,structural concept ofAssembly Machine is analyzed and assembly process is formulated;On the basis of it,theoverall structure of the assembly machine is programmed and designed.3.Design of the mechanical systemsThe machine is based on the principles of rational function,high accuracy,highreliability, and good economy,the structure of cantilever frame,main transmission,clamping gyrating system,knurling system and rotary feed system have been designed.Thework principle and the action flow of each system are summarized.4.3D solid modeling,virtual assembling and interference checking of AssemblyMachineThe components of the Assembly Machine were designed in CATIA with3D model,and then completed virtual assembly.On the basis of above,Interference detection of theDMU was done,certain intervention issues that are probably ignored in the design processare explored,and the unreasonable structure design or size was timely modified for theoptimal design.The Research of this paper on the Cantilevered NC Assembling Machine hashigher-value In the assembled camshaft field,improving the processing efficiency andprecision of camshaft,boosting the technique renovation of the engine industry of ourcountry....
