Drum shearer, especially electric traction drum shearer, is a essential quipment which is indispensable to the most advanced comprehensive coal mining technology in the world now. The drum shearer feature adaptability, big power and higher productivity of the different mining height. Because of this, drum shearer become to be development orientation at home and abroad on account of the specific characteristic of the manufacture environment, humans pursue production rate, meanwhile,respect and take miners life seriously better.So that the reliability of coal mining is paid more and more attention from coal separator manufacturing industry and coal manufacturing enterprises. The core part of drum shearer is mechanical system which is the maximum degree of reliability in the reliability allocation. Studying the reliability of hearer’s mechanical system is significant.Based on the economic management discipline, this topic use whole life cycle theory to design and manufacture、storage and transportation installation and use、service and maintenance the shearer mechanical system. Scrap whole life cycle involved some information which has been respectively reliable tudied. Through refer to the literature and on-the-spot investigation, a lot of relevant information has been collected. After classify consolidation, the roller coal drum shearer mechanical system reliability models have been established, also by means of drum shearer data have been reliability analyzed on a platform in MATLAB, we obtain the weak part with emphasis on the weak part and put forward reliable opinion. At last combined with the computer software discipline and network technology such as Java, tomcat, SSH (Struts Spring Hibernate), oracle, Dreamweaver in all eight languages and software, electrical traction drum shearer mechanical system network management system was established based on B/S. This system can use network effective reliability to manage the drum shearer mechanical system in the same electronic workbench. Through some test, this system can instantly put into use. The ultimate goal of this topic is that coal separator manufacturing industries between coal manufacturing enterprises establish a common platform in the industrial situation that technical management (equipment) is gradually replacing administrative management and passive management into the active management. On account of whole life cycle and reliability theory, as more as possible useful information is in the service of drum shearer mechanical system reliability, so as to raise the prosperity of the coal industry provide certain security.
