Printing ink of automotive tempered glass is used for the edges around of automotive tempered glass to effectively reduce the UV transmittance, prevent chemical changes of the glue which is used to bond glass and body, while masking the conductive silver paste, giving the car the appearance of a sense of beauty. Automotive tempered glass ink develops with large-scale application of the tempered glass on the car, it is been printed on the glass substrate using screen printing technology, dryed under150℃, and then shifted to high-temperature tempering furnace to bending and sintering, finally, after cooling and molding, we get the tempered glass have the printing ink of automotive tempered glass.Automotive tempered glass ink in this research has the two main properties:one is the anti-stick which the ink and the glass mold don’t adhere together during the process of sintering and bending of the glass; the other is the excellent acid resistance which the fully sintered product can suffer the0.1N sulfuric acid for72hours at the80℃water bath, and there is no difference of color between the glass surface immersed in sulfuric acid and the part of the non-immersed. At present, the domestic automotive manufacturers and automotive glass manufacturers have been using the imported automotive tempered glass ink, mainly from the Ferro of USA and Johnson Matthey of Netherlands, the present existing domestic product acid resistance is insufficient and not un-stick. In order to solve the present problems, develops a product which can meet the properties requirement to replace the imported products,this topic carries on from the below aspects:1, select the appropriate solvents and resins, determine the appropriate ratio, prepare the varnish oil of a good evaporation rate;2, select the appropriate domestic tempered glass pigment, add a certain amount of dispersing agent, leveling agents, thixotropic agents, determine a good recipe, prepare the products with good printability, anti-adhesive, acid resistance;3, investigate the mechanism of sintering of the automotive tempered glass ink.By this topics of research, finally determines the best formula:homemade varnish ink oil14parts, tempered glass black pigments84parts, dispersed agent1part, flow flat agent1part, thixotropic agent0.5parts, the ink has good properties of good printability, and anti-stick during bending and sintering at the600-700℃, also the product after sintering can meet the acid resistance requirements.
