The manufacturing industry is the pillar industry in China. With the rapid development of computer and network technology, advanced automation technology, information technology is constantly advancing manufacturing toward the direction of intelligent, network development.Traditional manufacturing enterprises lack of on-site management of the production plant, and equipment running status, real-time production information, performance statistics, process and production site information lack of effective information management system.This paper presents an information technology solution of CNC lathe control system integrated with MES, to meet the information needs of the workshop level. The system can realize the information flowing freely between the CNC system and ERP, also with information collection, data statistics, analysis and processing functions, management of equipment usage, monitoring and analysis of the situation of the workpiece.Firstly, this paper studies the functional model of MES, research status and development trends both in the domestic and foreign, and existing problems and brief overview of the development of open CNC architecture. Secondly, it describes the EtherMAC real-time Ethernet bus and motion control platform based on EtherMAC, gives CNC system hardware architecture and the structure of the Windows CE, its application advantages in the open CNC system, CNC system development process and real-time database technology. Once again introduces the main functions and implementation of the MES and production data-related functions:machine data management module, production tracking module, CNC program management module, machine tool management module, and production maintenance-related functions: parameter management capabilities, staff performance management, machine maintenance management, machine diagnostics, and machine alarm management functions, and create the MES database to store the data in the database and establish communication with the main module interface, gives the data tables structure of the database.Finally, this paper gives the main functions and implementation of the CNC system, including Human Machine Interface, motion control, logic control, back to the reference point, the analog output, the CNC program and the interface of communication with the database, and machine electrical control design, the main function of the CNC system carried out a detailed testing and validation, test results show that the instruction track run correctly, system function is stable and reliable.
