There are many hazards and disaster in coal mine production in China. These situations become more and more outstanding in coal mine safety. The coal mine fire is one of the five natural disasters in the safe production of coal mine. Coal mine fire is not only loss a lot of coal natural resources, but also serious threat to the safe production of coal mine. In this article, detailed description the capability of coal in oxidation and exothermic through theoretical analysis, laboratory experiments and field practice of combining research methods. Also analyzed the theory about coal oxidation rule、the environment of coal exothermic in goaf and confirm the spontaneous combustion zone in goaf of fully mechanized coal faces. The ultimate parameter of spontaneous combustion in goaf of fully mechanized coal faces are the lower oxygen concentration、the maximal air leak intensity、the least thickness of loss coal and the ultimate speed of working face advancing. Using the oxygen concentration index and integrated into the goaf distribution of temperature filed and temperature changes and goaf gas concentration changes in the approach to the division of the Oxidation zone, the suffocation zone, and the cooling zone.In this article, studied the temperature of the gases when it appearance、CO increase rate、CO variational rule and the change of oxygen concentration though the calefactive experimentation of coal.In this article, detected the temperature of the goaf and the change of concentration of the variety of gases through the thermoelectric pair and beam tube in713working face of Qi nan coal mine. Using the information to carving up the three bands in the goaf of713working face.
