This paper established the overall framework of the PDM-based thinking super-hardcutting tools series products CAD/CAPP/CAM integrated system and determine the functionof each module, based on fully understand and master of super-hard cutting tools andCAD/CAPP/CAM integrated technology.2. This paper researched on integrated technology based on product informationcharacter and constructed product characteristic information model, and based on these, torealize storage of feature information and extraction of characteristic information betweenCAD and CAPP, CAPP and CAM.3. This paper constructed a kind of the template type process decision-making method ofobject oriented and based on characteristics, and established process template library andprocess rule library through combined feature technology, object-oriented technology andCAPP expert system principle. Realized the automatic generation of process documents.4. According to the properties and characteristics of processing objects, this paperrespectively constructed the work flowchart of CAD subsystem and CAM subsystem, andrespectively realized the automatic generation of the3d map and NC code. Then developedthe PDM-based management module.
