In recent years, to reduce the probability of the object discriminated and found, extensive efforts have been undertaken to develop and optimize new materials in infrared emittance of coating. FeS doped silicate glass-ceramics is a kind of advanced low emission materials. In this paper, the glass-ceramics powder was fabricated by melt quenching method. We adopt plasma spraying to prepare infrared radiation coating with EPDM as adhesive, by adding powder and aluminum as stuffings to meet the requirement of physical and mechanical properties. Finally in this paper, the results show that while the amount of glass-ceramics powder added is20%, the emissivity (1~22μm、3~5μm、8~14μm) is up to0.45~0.47. The mechanical performances of coatings were evaluated in terms of hardness, heat resistance and adhesion test. It was shown that the coatings had achieved good performances in engineer applications.
