Shearing line plays an important role in the heavy plate production,it stays after the rolling line,with a main function of cutting the rolledplates to the dimensions required by the contract. Because of its uniquecharacters,the efficiency of shearing line must be accordance with theone of the rolling line.Owing to its mass varieties, small batch andcomplicated procedures, the neck of the heavy plate mills is always theshearing line both in the domestic and the oversea companies.Consequently, the improvement of the shearing line efficiency is vitalto exert the capacity of the heavy plate mill.This thesis improved the current producing management,based on thestudy of the domestic and over sea efficiency advancement. The methodsare as follows: Increasing the control precision of the mathematicalmodels by improving the shearing models,changing the serial proceduresto the parallel ones by the motion analysing, enhancing the shearingquality by using the six sigma management, decreasing the down time ofthe shearing line equipments by optimizing the design and the producingparameters.By implementing such steps, in2011,the output Number of blocksincreased1.91and the output capacity increased from175.72tons to188.61tons, comparing with the ones in2010. So these improvements havebetter met the requirements of the rolling line.
