Photochromic is reversible changes of the two substances in the light conditions.The two isomeric substances have significantly different in color, refractive index, absorption spectra and other Physical and chemical properties. One hundred years of research found, The class nature of the material has great value in the information storage, security, coating materials, and biological macromolecules synthesis and other aspects. Photochromic compounds to become one of the focuse of the study.Spiropyran compounds are a class of research breadth and depth of the Photochromic material. It as an organic optical storage materials can be achieved at the molecular level storage, with high storage density, fast read speed, low cost, narrow absorption band and anti-fatigue characteristic. This thesis studies the spiropyran Photochromic compounds, mainly divided into four parts, as follows:In the first part, The nature and course of development of Photochromism was introduced. Summary of key compounds the development of dual-Photochromic system in recent years. The research of Photochromic compounds is prospected.In the second part, The important intermediate9,9-bis(3-carboxy-4-hydroxy-phenyl) fluorene was synthesized by fluorene ketone as raw materials, to optimize the synthesis process of the Reimer-Tiemann method. A series of Iodide alkyl indoline were synthesized by Phenylhydrazine as raw materials. The structure of the compounds were confirmed by ’HNMR,13CNMR, IR, etc.In the third past, The bisphenol fluorene dialdehyde spiropyran photochromic compounds were synthesized by9,9-bis(3-formyl-hydroxyphenyl) fluorene and Iodide alkyl indoline. The structure of the compounds were confirmed by’HNMR,13CNMR, etc.In the foerthly past, Preliminary study on the performance of the spiropyran by UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, find that they are subject to solvent effects, the absorption peak is blue-shifted when the solvent polarity increases.
