In recent years, due to developers pursuit of faster development and profit, withunconscious inconsistency of responsible and attitudes to people and limit investmentnew urban commercial complex projects developed uneven, rarely took into accounthuman needs, not measured up to local culture, land and other factors and lack ofconsiderations on regional, humane care, customers consumer psychology, spaceexternal environmental and so on. Therefore, this paper expects to have guidance andtheoretical basis to the development for external space environment of urban commer-cial complex.In the new design of the urban commercial complex, it is necessary to considerconsumers’ use demand, but also considering consumers’ behaviors and psychologyneeds, which has targeted study to the design for external space environment of urbancommercial complex. It will build a high standard of urban commercial complex,which meets the needs for consumers and business and as well as satisfy the externalspace environment of various social activities. The latter paper expects to adopt abovetheoretical research urban commercial development research, case studies and so onto explore the relationship between human and environment that in external spaceenvironment of urban commercial complex. Through organic combination factors oflandscape environment design, humanities, geography, consumer psychology andother factors to improve the plasticity of landscape for external space environment ofurban commercial complex, to which provide a preliminary guidance for the design.Through in-depth analysis Commercial space of Xi’an City to interpret itsdevelopment, type and concept. Take Xi’an high international block and Chang’anAvenue,3rd for example to parse design elements and corresponding strategy of outer space environment. By the example of design practice---Chang’an Avenue,3rdprojectto analyze various builds elements that in the design process of external spaceenvironment to sum up practical significance design features to the external spaceenvironment. At last, on the Basis of above theoretical research, design a practicestudy to Chang’an Avenue,3rdproject that author participated in to sum up overallstrategy and future Development reference in the process for external spaceenvironment of commercial complex. The author argues that design for external spaceenvironment of urban commercial complex should firstly determine overall businessplanning from city level, do a consumer environmental planning from the field leveland at the same time focus on creating place spirit of practical level, which draws afive-point specific design strategy. It summarized the inadequacies that in thesiswriting process at the last of the paper. The paper through its study put forward somesuggestions to external space environment of the urban commercial complex, as wellas the outlook for future development and strategic research direction, and also hopesthat the paper has a practical significance to future design.
