A Study On The Space Between Urban Commercial Complex Interface And The Streets In China From The Perspective Of Urban Design

Urban Commercial Complex is the inevitable product of economic globalization and LAND INTENSIVE, it is an architectural form, with business as its main body and combined with a variety of functions, such as office, hotel, residential, cultural and entertainment. This architectural form can improve the rational use of land resources, coordinate surrounding resources, and make city public facilities are shared more widely.Compared to traditional architectural forms, Urban Commercial Complex is more reasonable in land intensive use, and its transport organizations and work efficiency are also very effective。In addition to, it requires more convergence in traffic, space and the spirit of place between building and urban.Like a "cartilage" of a city, the interface space contact with street is ease the impact between the architecture and urban, and combines them organically. The space is an important tool to integrate building’s function, and it is also an important link to connect the building with the city.Urban Commercial Complex is a more integrated building form, its interface space contact with street is more important to itself and the city, and it plays an important role in the integration of architecture space, as well as, the convergence of building and urban. Take full advantage of the space, it can not only coordinate the relationships among various sub-functions in urban commercial complex, but also promote the organic combination between architecture and urban.Applying the theory of urban design, on the basis of the analysis conceptions and status of the study, this article summed up the significance of urban design for the design of the space between Urban Commercial Complex interface and the streets, and tried to study the design way applied to the methods and principles of the urban design. Then this paper also summed up the development course and current problems of the space between Urban Commercial Complex interface and the streets, analyzed the spatial characteristics of the space and the roles it playing in the city, in China, from the perspective of urban design. After that, the article proposed the main design factors which affect the integration of urban commercial complex and the city:traffic factors, spatial factors and GENIUS LOCI, analyzed and summarized their elements, spatial forms and design methods.Finally, the article summarized the principles and objectives of the design about the space between Urban Commercial Complex interface and the streets, starting from the point of urban design, and, raised an outlook on the future design.
